![]() So overall, I find Levi's character to be rather misunderstood grey than pure black since he doesn't let his motives show on the surface. (By literally fucking someone, dude, idc, he's so funny I can't not appreciate him XDD) In a way, Levi acted in rebellion against the Lurking Eyes by fucking them over completely. If anything, without him, the characters would have never gained freedom over their "Tale". But in truth, he was one of the most crucial characters of our "Tale". Without Elliot, he would have met the same fate as Jack, which I find truly fascinating writing.īut anyway, Levi's true motives just aren't shown and perhaps he didn't want to talk about it. Oz, on the other hand, got lucky with Elliot. And no matter how much you look at it, Jack was a coward, and was never shown the way. They were both not meant to exist in the first place, but what they DID with it, was the difference. In my opinion, Jack and Oz represent the two sides of the same coin. ![]() In my opinion, he was just as much a victim, just to his own rule as the role "Glen", as opposed to Jack being powerless and a "mistake". No-no, I truly get what you're getting at it's just funny because I'm sure you would change your opinion had we seen the actual flashed-out backstory of Levi. Levi to Jack be like: Felt bored, fucked your goddess. They both did horrible things but Jacks motivation is understandable, while Levi is (and i can't stress that enough) just a dick! I see Jack more as a victim than anything else. ![]() So, I think there's a huge difference between Jack and Levi. The tragedy of Sablier was just one more sacrifice from his side and I'm sure it hurt him, especially considering Oswald, but not doing it would have hurt him even more. He didn't even know who he was without her anymore. He sacrificed so much for Lacie already and if she were gone his whole live would have been in vain. He could not bring Lacie back, but he could bring the world to her.įor him sacrifices weren't unheard of. The ground was so suddenly torn from under his feet and he clinged onto the last straw he could reach. So the thing that turned him evil was not himself. But then Lacie was taken from him in the most brutal way and with her he lost everything he ever lived for. He had his godess right beside him and even found a friend in Oswald. I mean, he even prostituted himself.Īnd after he finally got back to her he was so happy. If she would not have found him in the street that one day, he would have given up on himself and just died, but she showed him what live could be like.Īfter she left, she forgot about him but he did everything just so he could see her again. She was the only thing that kept him alive. I don't think Jack loved Lacie, but he viewed her as his goddess and he was completely obsessed with her (he didn't dare to even touch her!). No one and nothing pushed him to be around Oswald so he's the best way to show how Jack behaved around people he genuinely liked. You could see his true nature in the way he behaved around Oswald. He was caring and cheerfull and would never have done anything bad as long as he had Lacie. He could have just been nice but he chose to be cruel. He was fully aware of what he did and he was not pushed to do anything. Levi did what he did because of intrinsic motivation. Well, the difference between Levi and Jack is their motivation.
